Assessment of potential reserves around a limestone quarry

For the extension of a quarry the depth and the topography of the bedrock surface has to be mapped. In addition, the survey is expected to detect decompaction zones caused by weathering or due to tectonically related fracturing.

Mapping the topography of the Tertiary bedrock for assessing the volume of potential gravel reserves in the pre-Alpine environment of central Switzerland. The seismic image portray typical fluvio-glacial deposits with a general north-westerly orientation of a channel with gravel reserves.
